Amersham on the Hill celebrated the season of Good Will as well as Small Business Saturday in spectacular style with an all-day party.

Festivities started at 10am on Saturday December 3, with many small businesses in and around Sycamore Road hosting special deals for shoppers.

St Michael’s Church played host to an artisan market while the forecourt hosted charity stalls.

A big stage set up in the centre of the action hosted special guest, Strictly Come Dancing star Russell Grant alongside Team GB’s Paralympic swimmer and Gold Medalist Stephanie Millward, and the founder of Dreamflights charity, Patricia Pearce MBE.

The Christmas Tree lights were switched on after a special pantomime fancy dress competition for children.

The cast of The Elgiva’s Beauty and the Beast panto also performed at the event, organised by Amersham Action Group.

Chiltern District Council Leader Mimi Harker led the countdown, while there were musical performances from Lucina, The Amersham Band and Brendan O'Sullivan.
