Fun and frolics with Shaun

LIKE a lot of our favourite characters from children's TV (Sooty, Sweep, Emu) he does not utter a word, but there is no doubting that Shaun is a big star.

And the sheep from Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave takes to the stage with lots of new friends.

Bitzer, Shirley, Timmy and the rest of the flock from his own show will join in the fun at this fully choreographed music and dance extravaganza.

Promising madcap mayhem and wonderful adventures, expect to feel sorry for the short-sighted farmer in charge of marshalling them!

Hard at work getting laughs

THERE are hard-working comics and then there's Jimmy Carr.

If you were to be blindfolded and asked to stick a pin in a map of the UK, it is more than likely the super-dry stand-up will have recently played or be scheduled to play the town or city you had randomly homed in on.

In case you missed him in Aylesbury last weekend, he is back in Bucks next month.

THERE will be another chance to combine a relaxing picnic with live music in Chesham soon.

As part of the Music in the Park Season 2011, the Chrysalis Community Choir will be the latest to entertain the crowds.

Professional performers have been combining comedy, music and drama to bring gospel music to the masses since 1991.

The Mayor of Chesham, Derek Lacey, said: "It's a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family in our beautiful park."
