St Albans City Res 3-1 Magpies

AMERSHAM Town slipped into the relegation zone with their fourth league defeat in a row.

AMERSHAM Town slipped into the relegation zone with their fourth league defeat in a row.

Chris Miller's Magpies were leapfrogged by Cranfield United, who they host in a relegation six-pointer at Spratleys Meadow this weekend, after defeat in Hertfordshire.

Goals from Rob Barnett, Richard Maton and Dom Petrucci helped St Albans City Reserves to back-to-back Spartan South Mids Division One wins.

A goal from Dean Perella was not enough for Town to stop the rot as they continue to flirt with relegation.

The Magpies are beginning to lose vital ground on the sides above them having lost 14 of their 18 league games to far this season.
