Seer Green's Tiff Branscombe was crowned Overall Masters Champion (15+) at the National Jump Rope Championships in Bellshill, Scotland, last weekend.

The 20 year old won gold for 30 seconds speed with a new personal best; silver for three minutes speed; bronze for the freestyle routine and was victorious in the overall category in a very exciting contest.

Branscombe, who has been skipping for 10 years, is a founder member of Seer Green Skippers and has competed at World and European Rope Skipping Championships for Team UK since 2010.

She is now training by herself whilst studying at Coventry University, but regularly returns home to coach young budding skippers on Saturday mornings at the Seer Green club where she started. She has also taught at several local schools and hopes to inspire a new generation of children.

She said: “Jump rope, as a sport, is poorly understood, and is so much more than just a playground activity!”
