The second Gerrards Cross Junior Open Golf Tournament attracted a high calibre field of young golfers from 20 clubs for the 36 hole scratch and handicap event. It was also a qualifier for the BB&O Order of Merit and the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship.

The winner of the Misbourne Trophy and scratch prize was Stoke Park’s Jake Canning  who recorded two excellent scores of 73, one shot better than second-placed Asa Phillips of Goring & Streatley.
Phillips had been the clubhouse leader at lunch with a magnificent 68 which earned him the Daily Telegraph prize.

The handicap prize went to Gerrards Cross player Charlie Cooper who had an excellent morning round of 73 (nett 62), a four-shot lead over his nearest rival.
A nett 68 in the afternoon gave him a stunning total of 130 – nine clear of fellow member Mitch McNulty who was runner-up on countback from Ali Court of Reading.
