AMERSHAM Town came back from two goals down to earn a midweek point.

The home draw with London Lions ended a run of back-to-back defeats for the Magpies ahead of a weekend break from league action.

David Soutar headed Lions ahead on 27 minutes before Adam Byroff blasted in a close-range free-kick, after the referee deemed Aaron Martin had passed the ball back to Magpies stopper Perry Cheadle, seven minutes before the break.

But Amersham refused to give in and hit back on 51 minutes through Rion Thomas and they got a deserved equaliser with four minutes to go when Martin headed in a corner.
