Waddock: 'Forget Owls - just beat County'

WYCOMBE boss Gary Waddock has told his side to forget any last-day showdown with Sheffield Wednesday and concentrate on Notts County tomorrow.

WYCOMBE boss Gary Waddock has told his side to forget any last-day showdown with Sheffield Wednesday and concentrate on Notts County tomorrow.

A Wanderers win on Saturday could set up a memorable survival bid at the Owls if they win on Saturday and other results go their way.

But Waddock has warned they have to take care of their own performance against County first and foremost.

He said: “There is no point thinking about Sheffield Wednesday we have to focus on Notts County. We have to perform, we have to win the game.

“We have got to get the result because we can't affect any result in the country. Notts County are battling away for a different reason so it could be a real entertaining game.

“You have to give credit to Keith Curle and his coaching staff to get them into the position they are in. They have some experienced players and we have to match them on Saturday.

“The season has been like a rollercoaster ride where you are high and then bang you are rock bottom.

“But we have two games to go and we have to make sure we are right at the top of the rollercoaster at the end of them.”
