'WARRIOR' Dave Winfield is in with a chance of shrugging off a thigh strain to face MK Dons on Saturday.

The Blues captain limped off 35 minutes into Wycombe's midweek win at Exeter with the niggling injury.

Replacement Leon Johnson will miss the visit of play-off chasing Dons after picking up his tenth booking against the Grecians.

But Wanderers boss Gary Waddock said Winfield is in with a chance of making the derby clash this weekend.

“It was sensible for Dave to come off because he could have torn the muscle,” he said. “He is a warrior and a battler and, knowing Dave, he has every chance of making the game. But we will monitor him closely.”

Full-back Danny Foster will miss the game after being ruled out for six weeks with a shoulder injury.
