Centre backs Aaron Pierre and Alfie Mawson kept their own personal goals duel going at the other end of the pitch with a goal each to earn all three points.

The win kept Gareth Ainsworth's men four points clear in the fight for third place, but having played a game more than Bury and Southend, going into tomorrow night's home game against Exeter City.

The Blues boss said: "It’s a huge three points. We’ve put the two defeats behind us and got rid of the curse of the manager of the month. The character shown today was fantastic.

“Don’t take any notice of that league table because it wasn’t easy today and they will beat teams this season if they play like that."
