Wycombe Wanderers secured a point against Portsmouth to maintain their unbeaten League Two away record but the Chairboys will be disappointed they didn't take all three this afternoon.

Sam Wood put Wanderers in front in the second half but Pompey, roared on by a packed Fratton Park, struck back to grab a share of the spoils as Johnny Ertl came off the bench to equalise.

It is a result which keeps Wanderers in an impressive third place in the standings and they now trail Burton by just one point after the Brewers were knocked off top spot.

Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “I’m really pleased, not a lot of people will come to Fratton Park and get a point. The away form is really good at the moment.

“It’s a big point and the pleasing thing for me is the boys in there are disappointed they haven’t got three today.

“I thought we dominated until we scored and then we took our foot off the gas. We had a great chance to make it two-nil and that could’ve been game over for us."
