Wycombe Wanderers swept Neal Ardley's AFC Wimbledon aside to stretch their unbeaten run to 10 games.

The League Two leaders ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at Adams Park thanks to a cool finish from Josh Scowen and Sam Wood’s second goal in as many games.

Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth was pleased his young defence coped so well with the significant threat of Dons strikeforce Bayo Akinfenwa and Matt Tubbs.

“Defensively we worked really hard this week and it came off. It’s great to see it come off when it does,” said Ainsworth.

“We really limited a great strike force who are proven in the league this season.

"It's one of the performances of the season without a doubt. I thought the defence was superb, I'm not sure Wimbledon had a shot on goal. I thought the better team won."
