Saints end season with late home point

ADAM Louth scored a stoppage time equaliser on the day he picked up the Supporters Player of the Year prize.

The defender has been solid for the Saints this season despite often being asked to plug gaps in an injury-ravaged defence.

And his late goal at Mill Meadow on Saturday meant they finished a respectable 12th in their first forray in the Evo-Stik Division One Central and with plenty to build on for next season.

The home side took a 36th minute lead through a Terrell Lewis strike but it was their home form that ultimately cost them a play-off spot and allowed relegated Fleet to race into a second-half lead.

A bullet header from Callum Burch three minutes into the second-half and solo effort from Mark Watkins seven minutes later looked set to hand the visitors a rare away win.

But Louth popped up to capp his day with his last-gasp leveller.
