Walsall

WYCOMBE travel to the Midlands on Saturday nursing their shattered confidence and hoping to break a miserable record against Walsall.

Wanderers have failed to win in their last seven meetings with the Saddlers with their last victory at Walsall coming in 1998 with Blues legends Keith Ryan, Jason Cousins and Dave Carroll all playing that day.

Wycombe's toil against relegation has led to some fans throwing in the towel but they take on a side this weekend in an equally shocking run.

Walsall have 13 draws to their name – only matched by Scunthorpe in League One – and have won just once in their last 16 league games.

They are the lowest goalscorers in the division with a paltry 20 goals to their name with veteran striker Jon Macken topping their scoring charts with five strikes.

The Saddlers are just one point below Wanderers in the relegation zone but have two games in hand so it is impossible to see the game as anything other than a 'must-not lose' match for Gary Waddock's side.

Recent meetings:

8/10/11: Wycombe 1-1 Walsall

5/4/10: Walsall 2-1 Wycombe

31/10/09: Wycombe 2-3 Walsall

20/12/05: Walsall 3-2 Wycombe

24/3/01: Walsall 5-1 Wycombe

21/10/00: Wycombe 3-1 Walsall

Match odds (Coral):
