WYCOMBE head to Rochdale this weekend protecting an unbeaten record at Spotland.

Wanderers have never lost when playing at The Dale and have won their last four visits to Greater Manchester.

But the two teams have near identical records in League One this season with just one goal separating the teams and keeping Wycombe from joining Rochdale in the dropzone.

Steve Eyre's side have dipped in recent weeks with three straight losses in all competitions and with just one home win all season.

The ex-Manchester City youth-team boss has big boots to fill after taking over from Keith Hill and is working on a limited budget.

But his knowledge of the youth game has seen him recruit five loan players in Jake Kean (Blackburn), Stephen Darby (Liverpool), Pim Balkestein (Brentford), Ahmed Benali (Man City), Matthew Barnes-Homer (Luton) and David Ball (P'Boro).

But striker Ashley Grimes is their main threat with the former Lincoln and Millwall man having netted six times already this season while skipper Gary Jones is partial to a long-range effort and already has two goals to his name.
