STUART Beavon said his prolific scoring form is down to being more selfish in front of goal.
The 27-year-old hit a superb hat-trick at Bury as Wycombe romped to a 4-1 victory to take his own tally for the season to the magic 20-goal mark.
And delighted Beavon said he is finally listening to people telling him to shoot more while admitting his stunning third was the pick of the bunch.
“If you don't shoot you don't score,” he said. “I said to Hayesy after the game that if you haven't scored two goals you probably take an extra touch (for the third) but I was glad to see it go in.
“I am being more selfish and I am shooting more. Last year I think I got three but it has been drilled into me to shoot. I always had confidence in my own ability that I could score goals.”
