A BRISTOL City trainee, Sandell was forced to drop back into non-league football to rebuild his career.

Spells at Paulton Rovers and Bath City saw Bristol Rovers hand Sandell another Football League chance.

But he was loaned out to non-league Salisbury before he made the switch permanent and made 49 appearances in two seasons.
