CHAMPIONS Ley Hill U12s are celebrating after storming to glory in the Bucks Cricket League this season.

They claimed five victories in a row to lift the Division Three South title and clinch their second promotion in consecutive seasons.

The Ley Hill side, which picks from a squad of just 15 players, were undefeated until their final league game of the season, by which time the trophy had already been won.

Team manager Tim Allan said: “The side has done magnificently this season. We have two or three lads involved at district level and several who play at school, but the real hallmark of this side is their team spirit.

“They really want to do well for each other and the support and encouragement they offer one another on the pitch is outstanding.

“They can be really proud of themselves for their efforts this season, just as all the parents are.”

Ley Hill Cricket Club run junior sides at all ages from U9s up to U17s and are always happy to welcome new players. For more information, visit or call juniors manager Dave Peterson on 07970 726 667.
