On a balmy November morning, locals of all ages paraded in Chesham Bois to honour the locals who bravely fought in the World Wars and subsequent conflicts.

The parade was led by the splendidly turned out Chesham All Girls Band, as well as local scout groups and cadets.

Dignitaries from the Royal British Legion attended, while Reverend Chris Clare and Lay Minister Peter Flory spoke to the sizeable crowd that had gathered.

Chesham Bois Parish Council chairman Ray Hartley also addressed the crowd, while Mimi Harker OBE, chair of Chiltern District Council, laid a wreath at the memorial, along with the Girl Guides and Brownies.
