A television celebrity launched the 36th annual Beaconsfield Cricket Club fireworks festival.

TV presenter Fern Britton was on hand to launch the event, held on Saturday November 5, which started at 5.45pm.

A bonfire was lit at 7pm, and with a firework display by Titanium - the brains behind the displays at London New Year and Edinburugh Hogmany - revellers were sure of a good time.

This year, instead of money being raised for the round table, organisers hoped to drum up funds for local schools and sports.

But Fern was not the only celebrity who helped lend a hand - the Wycombe Wanderers mascot, Bodger, held a penalty shoot out, and there was also a DJ spinning some tunes and a number of local bands playing live.
