A six-year-old girl raised £550 by cutting her hair off.
The money raised by Isabel Beattie, from Prestwood, will go towards the Little Princes Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to youngsters that have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Staff at ScizzorHands in Prestwood cut her locks on Saturday July 2, and according to her mother, Frances, Isabel was really looking forward to the day.
“It was great, she was really excited,” she said. “She’s been growing her hair her whole life. “She’s only ever had a small trim so it’s quite a big change for her.
“She loved having it done so she’s quite pleased to be able to donate her hair.”
She added: “She realised how short it was - she had a little bit of a worry. She was more worried that her friends wouldn’t like it but everyone’s been very supportive.”
