Magician, entertainer and former Denham resident Paul Daniels died on Thursday (March 17) aged 77 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Renowned for his non-stop banter and catchphrases like 'You'll like this... not a lot, but you'll like it', he entertained with his combination of magic and comedy.
Fellow magicians and others from the world of light entertainment paid tribute to him this week .
And Denham residents spoke of their former neighbour as a man who would often give his time to support local causes and always had a cheery smile.
Mr Daniels was a regular face at most village events, most recently visiting Denham Village Fayre where he performed magic tricks at a stall alongside other local residents actor Robert Lindsay and singer Jess Conrad.
He found fame in the 1970s and 80s with the BBC’s Paul Daniels Magic Show, which ran for 15 years and made him one of the most popular stars on television. Mr Daniels also went on to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, and was famously interviewed by documentary maker Louis Theroux.
He is survived by his wife Debbie McGee and three sons from a previous marriage.
