EXPECT Ice at the Buckinghamshire Advertiser fun run - whatever the weather.

EXPECT Ice at the Buckinghamshire Advertiser fun run - whatever the weather.

The TV Gladiator will be at the run today which starts at the Hall Barn estate in Beaconsfield and finishes at Beaconsfield Rugby Club.

Hundreds of pupils from Beaconsfield High School and The Beaconsfield School are taking part in the event, sponsored by businesses from around the town such as Ashington Page estate agents, Buzz Bars, David Lloyd gym and Abstract Hairdressing.

Ice - real name Caroline Pearce - will meet the young runners and have her picture taken with them. Many are running the 5km race in fancy dress, as are their teachers.

As well as being Ice, Ms Pearce works as a fitness model, celebrity trainer, feature writer and television presenter. She runs JustSlim, an online diet programme she designed herself, which has been described as the most effective and personalised online diet programme on the market. Clients have included the cast of the Oceans 11 film series, Premiership footballers, television stars and the Saudi Royal family.

Our fun run is also being backed by the Old Bengal and Pizza Express restaurants in Beaconsfield, which are offering free meals for the winners of different categories at the race.

Brian McGirr, from Beaconsfield private GP practice Dr Now, is providing on-site medical support on the day. The race starts at 1.15pm.

For a report and pictures of the event, see check the website and see next week's paper.
