A Great Missenden school will celebrate its 60th anniversary this weekend.
The Misbourne School is celebrating 60 Years since it officially opened in January 1956.
The school’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration and Reunion Day on Saturday (June 25) promises to have something for everyone.
The whole school community, past and present, is invited to join in, meet-up with friends and find out how the school has changed over the years.
The day will include a 5K trail run in the countryside surrounding the school, a junior fun run, fun dog show, competitions including fastest tennis serve, penalty shoot-out, welly wanging and hoola hooping.
There will be face painting, a bouncy castle, lots of family entertainment, live music and drama performances and other activities to keep guests busy.
Food and drink will be available at the bar and barbecue from 11.30am and The Diamond Cafe will be selling hot drinks and cakes from 11am.
The day kicks-off with the fun dog show where registration is from 10.30am to 11am and the competition begins at 11am.
Places in the competition are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.
Volunteers from Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will be running a stall explaining their work and helping to judge the show.
The 5K trail run starts at 11am and is open to all runners aged 12 and older.
Younger runners will have the opportunity to compete in a junior fun run starting at 12pm.
The school is looking forward to reconnecting with former pupils and staff.
There will be an exhibition of Misbourne memorabilia and anyone with items such as photos, certificates, school books or year books that they would be prepared to lend them for the exhibition should get in touch with can email Mrs Heard at email@example.com.
A photographer will be taking pictures of groups of reunited students and staff and the Misbourne Music through the Decades stall will give guests the chance to pay a small charge to hear their favourite music from when they were at school.
Tickets will be on sale for a raffle with the chance to win Cyprus holiday accommodation for up to six people for one week, £100 in cash, a six-month membership of Sprinters Gym in Prestwood, a Samsung 22 inch television and many more prizes.
Entry is free and money raised on the day will go towards improving sports facilities at The Misbourne.
