An aeronautical engineering student who grew up in Denham and attended Dr Challoner's Girls School is hoping GetBucks readers can help her win the final of Loughborough University's Student Placement Awards.

Laura Webber has won through to the final of the competition after spending a year working as an aerodynamicist with the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team on placement.

But voting ends at midnight on Tuesday June 14, so there isn't long to help her win.

She said: "I had an amazing time on placement working alongside the talented engineers within the Aerodynamics Department at Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

"I loved being able to come up with concepts, test them on the wind tunnel model and then, if they were good enough, see them go out on the cars during a race.

"It was a real privilege to be able to contribute to the design of the 2014 and 2015 championship winning cars and I am looking forward to getting stuck back in with the team when I graduate."
