A FORMER Amersham police officer is to indulge his flair for art with a new exhibition next month.

Tony Churchill left his position as a community support officer with Thames Valley Police due to health reasons, but still wants to work on community projects and is now set to display his paintings.

They will be showcased at Rowan Garden Centre & Seasons Cafe in Chalfont St Giles from Friday, December 2 from 5pm to 9pm and then throughout December.

Mr Churchill said: "I've always liked painting and this is a good chance to show my work, I tend to paint bright and breezy scenes from (his native) New Zealand."

He is also currently in the process of finishing off a children's safety book for Amersham school children which is due out next year.
