A lorryload of balloons was released for charity as part of a village’s fun day celebrations.
Hundreds of the gaseous air balls were launched in white and blue from the side of a truck for local children’s charity Helen and Douglas House.
It was the start of a race with proceeds from ticket sales - with one balloon released for each ticket sold - donated to the charity.
Helen and Douglas House, based on the outskirts of Oxfordshire, enables people aged up to 35 with life-shortening conditions to live as well and as fully as possible to the end of their lives.
The charity also provides palliative care to young people and support for families and carers, while aiming to be a regional centre of palliative care excellence.
It was all part of a family fun day held at the Community Hall, Higher Denham, on Sunday (August 28).
The afternoon also included a bouncy castle, face painting, barbecue, football competitions and other activities and musical entertainment.
