SOUTH Bucks District Council (SBDC) has managed to protect its Green Belt for years to come.
A planning strategy has been endorsed which will ensure the protection of the area's Green Belt Land until 2026.
At a meeting held last week, the South Bucks Core Strategy was formally adopted for planning purposes.
It follows a report last month from a government inspector, who said that the core strategy "provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the district over the next 15 years."
Roger Reed, the council's portfolio holder for sustainable development, said: "The significant investment made by the district in the preparation of our core strategy makes its adoption great news.
"It will enable South Bucks to continue to protect our Green Belt and the character of our district, which is what our residents have made clear they expect from us.
"It will also ensure that more affordable housing is made available for local people."
