Police are hunting for a 'dangerous' man who robbed a bank in Chesham.

He entered Lloyds Bank in the High Street at around 3.20pm on Wednesday (October 19) where he approached the counter and threatened members of staff with violence.

He stole cash and fled the scene on foot in the direction of The Broadway.

Police have released CCTV of a man who they hope will hold vital information to the robber.

The robber is a man, possibly with light brown skin, of slim to medium build and between about 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins.

He was wearing a black jacket and black hooded top, and was carrying an orange carrier bag.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Christopher Downs of Force CID, said: “Do you recognise this man, or did you see him before or after the incident?

"If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, please contact police as soon as possible.

"The easiest way to do this is by calling 101 or visiting your nearest police station.

“We need the public’s help to bring this dangerous man to justice so please get in touch.

"No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
