Buckinghamshire Primary Care Trust will be marking World Aids Day with the launch of a condom distribution scheme.

Buckinghamshire Primary Care Trust will be marking World Aids Day with the launch of a condom distribution scheme.

From Monday (8/12) the PCT will launch The C-Card, which aims to increase sexual health awareness among young people.

On signing up to the scheme they will be given free condoms alongside a practical demonstration on how to use them, advice to promote safe sex and access to information on STIs, pregnancy and contraception. It also provides young people with an opportunity to discuss relationships, in confidence, with trained professionals and decide if they are ready to have sex.

The C-Card scheme will aim to reduce the rate of teenage pregnancies and the spread of STIs, which is a priority for the PCT and the cards will be available from a number of centres.
